NEXT CHALLENGE: UB30 TWENTY LAKES
Two weeks after finishing RACZ26, we hope that its participants are gradually recovering and not only them, but also many of you are slowly getting the appetite for another bikepacking challenge.

So, we can serve by fifth edition of UB30, this year ...with subtitle Twenty Lakes Challenge.

The goal of UB30 is to visit 30 tourist attractions in Šumava, Salzkammergut, Alps and Bavaria as quickly as possible, while between WayPoints Riders choose voluntary route by themselves. You will visit Poledník, Passau, Hallstatt, Neuschwanstein or Munich, and will enjoy spectacular ride around lakes, surrounded by steep mountains.

The new feature is inclusion of six shorter mandatory gravel sections, which can make the experience of the race on really lean gravel more enjoyable.

Start on Thursday, August 20th from Železná Ruda (CZ).
Entry fee just 100 eur/2500 czk.

The main route will measure approximately 1100km. If that's too much for you, you can finish your challenge in Munich, or use the shorter "UB20" option, which does not include gravel sections, all WayPoints are reachable on asphalt and its route will measure around 800 km.

HUUUUGE THANKS TO OUR TEAMMATES
We would like to thank a lot to all members of RACZ26 organizing team, who once again did a great job. Six teammates participated in organizing of our Race and all of them worked hard - similarly to most of Riders, from early morning hours until late night.

The first "media car" was made up of Peťa Janíček and Roman Mrázek, who moved more at the front of the pack and while Peťa was in charge of taking photos, Roman - who took part in his first ever event in UB Cup - combined filming with a camera and piloting a drone.

The second car accompanied Race thanks to Honza Mrákota and Honza Syrový. These two guys repeated their successful and effective cooperation from last year´s edition and filmed more in second part of starting field. Honza Syrový has already shown us several awesome compilations, we will share them during the summer. Honza Mrákota edited his photos after the race was over, and we will definitely give him space for his best shots.

Lukáš Šíma once again took on the role of "partner in the pack" and was tasked with capturing videos on off-road sections that other mates couldn't reach by car. From Friday afternoon, he was on duty at RP2.

Braňo Deák, winner of UB Cup 2024, covered RP3 on Saturday and Sunday and warmly welcomed the finishers of the newly included short route. It was also his premiere in this role, but performed it very well.

The whole group rode really well and we are already looking forward to working together again during RACZ27.

RACZ26 ZÁVODNÍCI JIŽ PODPOŘILI DOMESTIKY ČÁSTKOU PŘES 50 000 KČ
Máme velikou radost, s jakým nadšením se do charitativní sbírky pro Domestiky, která doprovázela celý náš letošní ročník, zapojili samotní závodníci.

Kromě toho, že byli oněmi hrdiny, kteří ...hráli hlavní role v divadle našeho závodu a bavili publikum svými výkony, silnými příběhy a emocemi, se také sami finančně zapojili do Dárcovské výzvy.

Někteří závodníci věnovali 1 Kč za každý svůj ujetý kilometr, jiní pak zůstatky ze zaplacené zálohy na GPS tracker.

Ke čtvrtku 23.7. se již výše jejich darů přehoupla přes 50 000 Kč a celkem už se nám tak podařilo vybrat přes 150 000 Kč.

VELIKÉ DÍKY ZA TUTO ÚŽASNOU POMOC, a to samozřejmě nejen závodníkům, ale vám všem, kdo jste přispěli !!!

MOMENTS FROM FINISH LINE
We found amazing background in Holubyho chata refuge, which was our fifth Finish line this year.

We were welcomed here by typical Slovak hospitality, willingness to solve every need and good food. Also we have to thank a lot for letting the hut opened even on ...Monday, just because of us, although it is normally closed.

We had a great time here, and enjoyed strong emotions of our Riders, who finished here their epic 1130km route and shared their stories and experience.

Most repeated themes this year were fighting with saddle sores, headwind on a way to Dalešice, tricky sand roads near Hodonín, steep climbs behind Rožmberk and harvestor hurdles during Last Push 🤣

Definitely TOP place And must visit while discovering Bílé Karpaty 😉

Race Across Czechia 2026 saw amazing number of 69 Finishers of Full Route.

MARCIN WITKOWSKI AS A LAST FINISHER OF RACZ26
69 Riders made it to Holubyho chata And became a Finishers of Racz26 Full Route - 1130km with over 13000m elevation gain.

Around 30 riders was satisfied with finishing Short Route, and just cca 25 riders scratched. This Is wonderful ...standing And hats Down to all of them !!!

As a last FINISHER arrived cca 50 minutes before time limit Marcin Witkowski - true Racz legend, who participated on all editions And finished 4x.

11.-40. PLACE
It was superbusy here. During Sunday and Monday arrived to Holubyho chata really dozens of Riders. We took a picture of almost all of them, so here is a gallery of Riders on 11th to 40th place.

We are happy for very positive experience, laughing when... hearing some funny stories and amazed how many new strong friendships was born during our event. Riders are of course tired, but refilling energy by halušky and good beer. Our strong Polish group even bought two glasses of wine and celebrate their achievement by drink it from beer pint :-D

MARTIN S TOMEM V CÍLI
Těsně před osmou večerní dorazili do cíle na 47.místě hlavní ambasadoři Domestiků Tomáš Hruška a Martin Souček, kteří chtěli svou jízdou podpořit sbírku na podporu paliativní péče u nás.

Pro Toma byl letošní Race Across velkou výzvou,... která mu od prvního dne Braha hodně sil. Martin se ale skvěle ujal role Domestika a díky ohromné morální podpoře a předávání ultracyklistikých zkušenosti to spolu pro dobrou věc dotáhli až na Javořinu.

Z jejích závěrečného švihu přes noc se nakonec vyklubala stíhací jízda v bojí o vítězství v kategorii párů. To si ale přece jen udržela skvěle jedoucí dvojice Jarka a Dan Hasnedlovi.

V cíli u chaty pak oba borce čekala Martinova rodina, která s nadšením povzbuzovala závodníky od čtvrtku až do pondělí.

HOLUBYHO CHATA FULL OF BIKES
In early Monday morning, our impressive finish line Holubyho chata was here only for us.

The terrace was full of bikes, few Riders were sleeping on a floor in a restaurant, most of them in rooms, and one young red cat was running around the yard.

... Shortly after sunrise we catched there Klara Kinzer, second fastest woman of RACZ26, to ask them on her feelings after finishing at 3am.
