MEET RACZ26 RIDERS

Today we would like to introduce another group of RACZ26 riders, with surnames beginning from CH to K.

We can find there several "UB Cup Ultras" and finishers of our previous editons, with Roman Królikowski and Morten Kjaersgaard preparing to ...join us for 3rd time.

But we are also very happy to invite a lot of new faces, with three German riders, including experience ultrarider Uwe Mosig.

2nd finisher of RACZ24 Tomáš Křováček is ready again to make up for last year's bad luck, when he had to scratch from 2nd place just under the final climb to Girová due to problems with knees.

Although we have still almost 6 months to RACZ26, let´s introduce first group of Riders, who registered on this year´s edtion and shared with us their photos.

We are looking forward to meet most of them on start line in Planá.

100 RIDERS REGISTERED !!!
During this week we got another few registrations and we hit magical milestone of 100 riders - which is our dreamed number of participants on RACZ26 start.

We are currently recording 103 Riders, from 11 countries, of which are 10 women.

We updated ...section "Riders" on our website, added riders´ photos and we will start to introduce our registered Riders also here on Facebook, next week.

Need to remind that we offer basic entry fee for 3500czk/150eur only until 31rd March, after this date there is additional 500czk/20eur. ;-)

Also our bookings of accommodation are slowly filling to its capacity, so if you are considering participation on this year´s edition, don´t delay your registration!

HOT NEWS IN RACZ26 ORGANIZATION !!!
We wish all UltraBikers good luck in new year 2026, the beginning of which was traditionally very hectic for us, as we worked hard on several improvements in organization of our event, where Riders bring everything they need with them, but we still try to ...make their 1100km journey as pleasant as possible.

1) EVENT FACILITIES
The pre-start facilities will be finally in wonderful surroundings of the Chodovar brewery in the village of Chodová Planá.

In its restaurant Stará Sladovna, our Riders will not only be able to enjoy a great beer, but also take a guided tour into the interiors of the brewery.

Of course, last year's very successful 40km Social Ride will not be missed, for which more than 60 (almost 2/3 of riders until now) have already registered. This time we will visit beautiful spa town Mariánské Lázně, with a stop in other brewery Kronl.

2) BETTER START PLACE
We are moving the ceremonial start of RACZ26 to the nice square in the nearby town of Planá, where its mayor is happy to welcome us, and we will try to prepare a truly epic start of our fifth edition.

3) ACCOMMODATION FOR THE FIRST NIGHT
Considering the minimal possibilities of overnight accommodation along route through Šumava National Park, this year we will exceptionally also organize overnight accommodation for the first night, in 3 accommodation facilities (at 195th, 220th and 245th km).

4) FINISH800
We were looking for a more dignified Finish for 800km short route than the originally intended campsite in Rouchovany ... and we found it! We have recently made arrangements with the operator of the Wilsonka campsite, which is located near the beautiful beach of the Dalešice dam, which will serve as RP3.

While the finish line of the short RACZ800 route will be at a breathtaking viewpoint of the dam above rock Wilsonova skála, from where it will then just be a non-racing descent to the campsite.

+ we are preparing a another one superinteresting cooperation for you, which will add another dimension to this year's edtion. But we will tell you more about it in the spring ;-)

ULTRABIKERS CUP 2026
UltraBikers Cup 2026 calendar will be packed with great events on awesome routes, and will delight every cycling enthusiast, bikepackers and one-dayers, road riders, gravelists and also MTBikers.

From this week, it is possible to register also for our one-day ...challenges.

20.8. UB30: TWENTY LAKES CHALLENGE
While we have over 80 registered riders for RACZ26, we need to remind, that we are also organizing one more bikepacking event next summer, which is also beginning to be more and more popular.

On Thursday 20th August will start fifth edition of UB30: ...Twenty Lakes Challenge, where riders have to pass 30 interesting WayPoints and 6 gravel parcours, on voluntary route through Šumava, Bavarian Forest, Salzkammergut and Bavarian Alps.

You will visit for example Hallstatt, Neuschwanstein Castle, Passau, Munich and other spectacular places around german and austrian lakes.

Length will be pretty similar as on RACZ26 - 1100/800km - just you can expect a bit more climbs, but also more asphalt.

72 REGISTRERED RIDERS AFTER ONE DAY
We are very happy with first day of registrations on RACZ25, as there were no technical issue and now we have 72 riders from 7 countries on our list. Last year we had 41, so this is a great progress

All of you, who registered yesterday and today can... be relaxed, you got a slot ;-)

Surprisingly, only 8 riders of this nice amount chose a new 800km short route, the rest is aiming on "full gas" 1100km up to Velká Javořina.

We are also pleased with 9 female riders, which would definitely broke a record in women category in UltraBikers Cup history.

UB30: Twenty Lakes Challenge has 19 riders.
